Basically you can divide the structure of a website in 7 different blocks :
1. THE HEAD
2. THE BODY

1. THE WEB SITE HEAD / THE HEADER
The websites HEAD refers mainly to apart that the websites visitor won`t see unless you know how ! In the head are written all the information about wich kind of htlm script / code was use on this particular web site and others script information …..best of all you don`t need to know or even look at this part ! Because we will use a visual editor , the sofware will take charge of this work / trouble ! But if you are curios , like me , then here is how to view the web site head : click into an area in the web site without content , ex. on the far left or far right side of the screen hold the right mouse and click : you will see a pop up window – look for -HTLM – click on …and the htlm code , probably – block note style – in the beginning you can read [ DOCTYPE HTLM ] and so on … amuse yourself … but don`t worry , as i told you you don`t need to know , yust for curiosity purpose….. THE HEADER is the top part of a web site , visible to public visitors , in the header , usually of a rectangle shape , you can see THE NAME of a web site and the logos ,if any , or some picture ,and others text or else. You can think of a newspaper header . In a web site the head it is very important part because is like the title in the front page of a book . Every time a visitor will enter your web side he will see the header first ! WEB DESIGN is really doing a big part of it ! The header will be visible in every web pages in your web site. We will pay special attention on how to make website header. Go surfing in internet and look all the header , now , try to understand what you would like in your web site . Think about how you want your website name to be display , and what about a picture or a grafic design on top of your web site…..This is an important moment like when you choose a name for you web site. It is something we have to do before starting to make website , and usually at the end when make your own website you will be a lot smarter about name and header ! Here is the good new the websites header you could always change at any given moment … but the domain name really not ….that`s why i want you to spend sometime to check out the name …remember the name will be the adress of your web site in the web .. www MY NAME . com. I think it is worth the effort. Beside we will spend sometime before starting to make your own website to make sure when we will start to build website everything it is at the right place. The picture shows this web site ( actually for particular reason of comunication i use for the first time a Blog of WordPress , i don`t really like it , plus it is much more conplicated that the web site software we are gonna use !!! ) . Anyway we can see the different part of a web site and than you please, look around your favorites websites to understand better. You can notice how of a web site the header is a very creative part and then web design come handy for the grafic and layout. But don`t worry it will be a game to make website header for your first web site. On the right side you can see a logo i made , and i will tell you how , with W4D and the @ simbol. In the middle i use a picture of a miss i use to help out to make website and now she is fully on her own to create web site with her beloved laptop ! How to work out a picture till you place it on the header is something you will also learn…..a lot of fun and rewarding. INDEX are usually displaced in 2 main place inside a web site . 1. yust below the header of the wewb site orizontally ( like in the picture ) or in the right side of a web site vertically. 2. the are different types of index and sub index popping up or falling down pages indicator. With the websites software we will use to make your own website it will be possible to create web site buttons for index navigation in all the possible ways and more ….so easy and so powerfull function. Have fun to change your web site navigation buttons colours , shape , size , displacement , plus therr`s a buttons library and images and logos and clip art and simbols and .., and more that you will probably ever need to make your own website. I myself really enjoy making the navigation buttons. Please surf around and start to notice the navigation / index system of others websites…you will leasarn a lot yust by looking .. believe me. The most common mistake once you are new to make website it is to not prepare yourself before actually make your own web site…this will lend to mistacke and eventually frustration…but we are on the right path to make web site with fun and not stress!!! 3. BODY usually it is the part of a web site the contains the TEXT , IMAGES , VIDEO ALL THE SO CALL - CONTENT - if you click and hold with the right mouse on a empty part of a web site , and you click HTLM on the pop up window , you will see all the htlm script / code including a lot of information for servers and google and explorer , firefox ecc. , this is the way to make webside with htlm script / code but we are using a visual editor who does the job for us ..!!!! yust for the sake of curiosity we can have a loook ..!!! 4. TEXT about text we have to understand couple of thing : 1. the size of the font 2. the type of caracter we gonna use to write on the web site 3. colours of the text . with our website builder software we have a lot of freedom about text and it is really as easy as all the rest .We gonna see wich kind of text font are better to use , because we want our web site to be seen by any computer and how to do with colours and size ,yust a few tips and your web site will look really professional. Again surf around and consider the size , colours , and type of text / caracter other use ….please try to take exemple to make your own website from websites ofknown quality…the big guys knows how to do !!!
2. WEBSITE BODY
THE BODY usually is where all the content of a web site is placed. Main part is the BACKGROUND COLOR or the main color of your web site. This is another important decision to take before you start make your own website. Wich color you gonna choose as the background color of your web site will have a great impact at the web design of your web site. It will also have a lot of influence on the choice of the TEXT COLOURS. This is what make a difference between good web site and bad websites … the harmony of background colours and text colours…can make a visitor of your web site stay …or…go away…… I want to make a point here : all the preparation we are doing and all the time we spend studying others websites will pay , really will pay a lot when we start to make your own website. Try to have a vision of the web site you want .. a general vision … the main color … the header with the website name and ……where and wich index style ….this is the right way from WEB DUMMIES to PROFESSIONAL .
2. WEBSITE INDEX
The navigation index , or , how you link your website pages. After you build your web pages you have to link them to allow yours visitors to navigate throught your website easy and fast . With our software it is as easy as 1-2-3- !!! You can link any page of your website one to another or you can link to another website outsite your web page. You can also link images to web pages inside your website or external to others websites. This is usually a not so easy task if you are not an HTLM expert ! With our software we use to create website it will be easy and fun , and no need to know HTLM script / code !!! After you set all the link inside your website , before she will be published , we can have a PREVIEW yust by clicking ..THE PREVIEW BUTTON !! This is a very handy feature that allow you to preview your website and eventualy change any mistacke you have done ,or , any link not parfectly made. As you see it willl be quite easy , and you can work on your website easy at home till YOU KNOW it is working and you can now publish. Another difficult moment in create a website , it is usually the moment of finally upload your website and be visible on the NET. Even this we will make only by clicking the …PUBLISH BUTTON !….More on all this topic later …
4. WEB SITE PAGES / HOMEPAGE
A Web page is made of CONTENT , wich means , the real thing in your web site. What you are talcking about , or what your project is all about. IMAGES play a big part of it , with images you will definitly make your web site more appeling to visitors. Photos and grafic web design is a plus on any web site. You will have to learn how to save photos for the website , in a way they can quikly appear and fast download on your web page. You will learn a few easy step to work your images or photos and to make them perfect for your web site. The website builder sofware we gonna use let us place images and photos anywhere we want inside our web site !!! It will be a real fun !!! HOMEPAGE , is the first page of your web site any visitor will see when entering your web site ! Very important web page !!! For this reason the look of your web site homepage as to be exactly as you want !!! And the best you can do !! A visitor entering your website , after loooking your website homepage will decide if he stays and continue surfing inside your web page or web site , or if he will move out ! We will give the right attention when we will build a website , to the homepage factor.
6. WEB SITE COLOURS
To choose the colours of your web site project needs all your attention. Best to do if you are not yet clear about all the colours when you make website it is to surf around the web and look others websites , how many colours they use, as background colour , as maybe differents section in one web page with different colour…The rule of thumb .. DON`T USE TOO MANY COLOURS FOR YOUR WEB DESIGN WEBSITE. Remember : your HEADER colour , the INDEX colour, and the TEXT colour they all have to harmonize with the background colours. Again surf around the net and specially look well structurated websites , the way they use colours …If you really study others websites and web page you will be well on when you will start to make your own website. With the web design software we will use we can change even background colours after we already finish our web site….maximum confort !!!!!
7. WEB SITE MEDIA
For web site MEDIA FOR WEBSITE is usually intendet to describe the VIDEO , PHOTOS , MUSIC , GRAPHIC , ANIMATION , anything exept text. Every one in this category needs a specific treatment before it has all the requirement necessary to be installed in your web site… but don`t panic …our web design software will help us even in this case. We only need to know the RIGHT FORMAT for photo, video , music , graphic , animation , to work in your web site or more generally in any websites.

If you follow my advice till here , and you spend sometime surfing around others websites , you are ready to start your adventure of create web site.
